The Department of Peace and Conflict Studies curriculum employs an interdisciplinary, critical, and social justice approach to conflict theory, peace studies, research, and practice. We focus on conflict transformation and management. We also address building peaceful and just social systems, communities, and societies by educating students and engaging with policymakers and the broader community in creating the context for positive conflict transformation. Our courses are designed not only for aspiring conflict professionals, but also for students in other programs looking to enhance their skills through conflict and peace electives. All Peace and Conflict Studies BA and MA courses are now available as asynchronous on-line courses for the working professional.
